Automation developer

About the role

You join a Dutch IT services provider that delivers managed cloud and digital workplace environments. In a small internal automation team of three to five people, you get plenty of freedom to decide what can be improved. Much is already automated, but the separate pieces need connecting and raising to a higher standard.

What you will do

• Contribute to scalability, monitoring, performance testing, benchmarking, and security
• Discuss best practices and standardisation with technical colleagues
• Analyse where automation delivers the most impact across the organisation
• Automate processes, from order handling to rolling out cloud environments
• Build solutions with Go, Terraform, or Ansible, depending on the need

What you bring

• Familiar with public cloud, mainly Azure, plus CI/CD and configuration management
• Strong analytical skills and solid knowledge of a common programming language
• Preferably experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Go
• Willing to look beyond your own niche, such as learning another language or working on server and network layers
• Curious, you spot opportunities to improve and enjoy sharing your insights
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, and or Docker
