Job description

About the role

A small software company that builds custom applications for clients across several sectors is looking for a back-end developer to join its in-house development team. The way of working is agile, with early releases and continuous improvement. The full cycle from analysis to maintenance is handled in-house.

What you bring

  • Preferably experience with REST, JSON, and XML
  • Preferably experience with Git or other version control tools
  • Experience with Hibernate or another ORM
  • Preferably experience with Groovy and an issue tracker
  • Experience with Spring or another dependency injection framework
  • Solid knowledge of Java 9 or newer
  • Working knowledge of SQL and HTTP

What you will do

  • Work closely with a front-end developer and a tech lead or solution architect
  • Help shape applications that run on desktops, laptops, tablets, and phones
  • Build and maintain back-ends for web-based applications
  • Contribute to releases, testing, and continuous improvement of software
  • Make sure APIs deliver the requested data quickly and securely
