Financial controller

About the role

An internationally active company in the agri and food sector is looking for a financial controller. You join a small finance team and start in a supporting role. Before long you take ownership of many areas yourself.

What you bring

• Good spoken and written Dutch and English
• You work very independently and keep your own direction
• Experience with international consolidations is a plus
• Relevant work experience as a financial controller
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with Exact Globe is a plus
• A flexible attitude and a sense of humour

What you will do

• Prepare tax returns and get audits and external reviews ready
• Build reports on performance and profitability per category and customer
• Act as a sparring partner for the managers
• Control costs and risks and initiate improvement projects
• Review, interpret, and analyse financial and non-financial data
• Draw up budgets, monitor cash flow, and discuss suitable measures
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including group consolidations
