Java developer

About the role

You join a mid-sized software developer and integrator that delivers projects for a range of business clients. The team builds web and mobile applications and also supplies native and embedded software. As a Java developer you work on new and existing applications, from analysis to delivery.

What you bring

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or similar
• Mobile frameworks such as React Native or Flutter are a plus
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, SQL, web services, and JS libraries such as React or jQuery
• Critical, analytical, self-reliant, and a strong communicator
• Broad knowledge of Java EE (EJB) and application servers such as JBoss, Wildfly, or Quarkus
• Dutch and English, spoken and written
• Affinity with Git, Linux CLI, Docker, and wireframe creation

What you will do

• Build and adapt client applications in Java and JavaScript
• Carry out code reviews and enable system and user testing
• Suggest improvements to products and processes
• Discuss solutions with clients and assess technical feasibility
• Draft functional and technical requirements and analysis documentation
• Develop front-end and back-end solutions in a Java environment
• Create mobile applications
