Job description

About the role

You will join a large Dutch research and technology organisation with an international working environment. In this role you build software around geodata and geospatial IT as an experienced Java developer. You work in an agile team that shares responsibility for the result.

What you bring

  • Experience with XML, XSD, JSON, Angular, and ArcGIS JavaScript
  • Strong communication in Dutch and English
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, microservices with Quarkus, Microprofile, JPA, REST, and Jackson
  • Interest in geodata and geo standards such as GML, INSPIRE, and OGC
  • Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Maven, Git, Tekton, Jenkins, Sonar, and GitHub
  • Bachelor or master in computer science or equivalent
  • More than ten years of experience with Java and JEE

What you will do

  • Working on web front ends and processing XML and JSON
  • Developing Java applications within an agreed architecture
  • Building microservices and REST interfaces for geodata applications
  • Writing automated tests and working within the delivery pipeline
  • Creating mock-ups and demos for stakeholders
