Java developer

About the role

A financial services organisation is growing and is therefore looking for a Java developer. You work on an existing business application and help improve it further. You get a high degree of autonomy and a broad set of technologies.

What you will do

• Maintain and update an existing Jakarta EE application
• Program and deliver tools and solutions in a flexible way
• Contribute to analysis, development, testing, and rollout of new functionality
• Analyse business requirements and turn them into functional and technical analyses
• Propose improvements and carry out the full implementation yourself
• Keep your knowledge of new technologies and trends up to date

What you bring

• Sound understanding of object-oriented design and design patterns
• Fluent in Dutch or French, and in English, both spoken and written
• Experience in the financial sector is a plus
• Knowledge of Java build tools such as Eclipse, Maven, or Ant is a plus
• At least three years of experience programming in Java
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as MSSQL and TSQL
• Knowledge of Jakarta EE, Vaadin Flow, Wildfly, and HTML and CSS
