Java tech lead

About the role

A small software company that builds custom applications for clients across several sectors. The work covers the full lifecycle: analysis, design, build, test, release, and maintenance. As tech lead you own the solution and work directly with clients.

What you will do

• Advise clients on what they need instead of simply building requests
• Guard code quality and challenge others towards better solutions
• Carry out part of the development work yourself
• Lead a team of front-end and back-end developers on technical matters
• Take ownership of several projects and deliver them together with clients
• Weigh functional and non-functional needs such as security and performance

What you bring

• Experience with Java 9 or newer
• Experience with Hibernate or another ORM
• Skilled with PostgreSQL or another SQL database
• Nice to have: Docker, Elasticsearch, GitLab, or YouTrack
• You lead from within the team and keep your knowledge current
• Knowledge of Spring, Grails, or another dependency injection framework
• Familiar with HTTP, REST, and Git
