Junior systems engineer

About the role

You join an international organisation with socially relevant work. As a junior systems engineer you keep the workplaces and underlying infrastructure reliable and secure. You combine administration with hands-on support for colleagues.

What you will do

• Installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems and management tools
• Writing custom scripts to make systems more efficient
• Providing desktop and helpdesk support and troubleshooting incidents
• Managing and improving the Office 365 platform, including setting up SharePoint sites
• Setting up and maintaining workplaces
• Maintaining security, back-up, and redundancy strategies
• Designing firewall configurations and monitoring network security

What you bring

• Familiar with deployment technologies such as SCCM and Intune
• Completed IT education at MBO4 or bachelor level
• Experience with Windows 10 or newer, Windows Server, Mac OS, and Linux, preferably RedHat 8
• Basic knowledge of information security, data privacy, switches, routers, wifi, and firewalls
• Service minded, solution driven, and fluent in Dutch and English
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of maintenance and support for desktops and laptops
