Lead Java software engineer

About the role

You join an international IT services firm that builds software for large organisations. In this role you work in project teams on Java solutions and also guide colleagues in their professional growth. You take a leading part in the internal Java knowledge group.

What you bring

• Solid Java experience and enjoyment in sharing knowledge
• Knowledge of development tools such as IntelliJ or Eclipse, Maven, and Git
• Leadership or coaching experience is a plus, not a requirement
• Experience with cloud development, for example AWS or Azure, possibly with Kubernetes
• At least an HBO degree
• Used to testing your code while writing it

What you will do

• Contribute analyses, advice, and technical expertise
• Develop Java software within project teams at client organisations
• Coach several Java colleagues and remove obstacles for them
• Act as the link between colleagues on site and the internal organisation
• Organise knowledge sessions and events for the Java community
