Senior Java developer

About the role

A mid-sized Dutch IT services firm focused on Java and open source is looking for a senior Java developer. You work on client projects where complexity, integration, and security come together. Craftsmanship and knowledge sharing are central.

What you bring

• Experience with security and privacy topics, microservices, REST, and databases is welcome
• Java as your main technology, supported by broad open source knowledge
• You communicate well in Dutch
• At least 8 years as a Java developer or over five projects in complex organisations
• A bachelor's degree in computer science or a comparable field
• Knowledge of Spring (Boot), Quarkus, Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms is a plus

What you will do

• Contribute to an open source project of your choice during working hours
• Work on large projects in a team and tackle questions independently
• Design and build inventive, efficient, and durable software solutions
• Coach and advise colleagues on technical choices
• Take on technology-driven projects and share your knowledge
