Software security engineer

About the role

A growing international organisation builds digital healthcare products, set up as decentralised, standardised, and reusable building blocks. Its teams are multidisciplinary and combine engineers, designers, product owners, and healthcare experts. As a software security engineer you become the point of contact for software security while also contributing to development.

What you will do

• Maintain records and policies and ensure compliance with security standards
• Configure firewalls and threat detection systems
• Advise on the security of the software architecture and act as point of contact
• Work together with teams from different disciplines
• Find and resolve weaknesses in the software through security testing
• Implement measures that harden the security of the products
• Contribute to the software products, partly outside security work

What you bring

• Experience in health technology is a welcome addition
• Good command of spoken and written English
• Experience with Java Spring Boot, Rust, and Kubernetes, with Node.js and Go as a plus
• University degree in computer science focused on software security, or a technical degree with a few years of experience
• Team player who is comfortable in a multidisciplinary team
• Good knowledge of programming and of Linux or MacOS
• Proactive and able to devise solutions to complex problems independently
