Software tester

About the role

An IT services firm that designs, builds, and manages business critical software and infrastructure systems is looking for a software tester. You are the point of contact for testing within your project team. You safeguard the structure of the test process, from specification through to release.

What you bring

• Analytical, structured, and constructively critical, with strong written and spoken Dutch
• Completed HBO or WO degree in engineering, ICT, or computer science
• Familiar with working according to Agile and Scrum
• Experience as a Java developer is an advantage
• Knowledge of or experience with test tools and unit tests
• At least two years of experience as a software tester
• Willing to work both at the office and at client sites

What you will do

• Create test designs, test scripts, and reports, and release software
• Report test results concisely to stakeholders and log hours weekly
• Test software in a structured and precise way, both functionally and technically
• Estimate testing effort and provide input for quotations
• Advise on which test tools to use in each situation
• Have mocks, stubs, and unit tests built based on requirements
