Solution architect

About the role

An international technology company builds secure network and data solutions for telecom and public sector organisations. You join a team of engineers and architects who work in Scrum teams on the company's own product lines. As solution architect you are the technical expert, designer, and technical owner of those products.

What you bring

• HBO or WO degree in technical computer science or a comparable field
• At least 5 years of experience designing and building Java components
• Good spoken and written Dutch and English, German is a plus
• Experience with architecture and application integration
• Plus: Radio Access Networks, Network Function Virtualizations, containers, CI/CD, Linux, databases such as SQL, Oracle, Postgress and Cassandra, security, testing, and Scrum
• Plus: service and component oriented architectures, network and telecom protocols
• Analytical, self-reliant, and equally strong in a team

What you will do

• Turn solutions outside the standard architecture into repeatable standards for clients
• Advise clients on design improvements and propose new designs
• Safeguard the architecture framework during handover of internal and external business cases
• Improve the products with new increments together with your team
• Independently set up, maintain, and monitor the overall system architecture of platforms and products
• Design reusable and scalable solutions so large replacement projects become less necessary
