Job description
About the role
You join a Dutch research organisation in the life sciences with an international team. Its research relies heavily on IT, from workstations to analysis environments for large datasets. The growing IT environment has room for a system administrator.
What you will do
- Install and maintain hardware, software, and network facilities
- Run back-ups and contribute to data security
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide user support
- Help monitor the research and office environment
- Support software developers in managing the microservice environment
What you bring
- Experience with container orchestration, microservices, and CI/CD is a plus
- Analytical, able to solve complex technical challenges
- Self-starting, pragmatic, flexible, and proactive
- At least 2 years of programming experience in an object-oriented language
- Knowledge of Linux, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and networking
- Comfortable speaking English and working in a cross-disciplinary team
- Bachelor in information technology or similar
