Backend Java software engineer

About the role

You join a small Dutch organisation that supplies internet services to business customers internationally. The domain is narrow, but the technology runs deep. As a software engineer you strengthen the development team and work on a fully automated platform.

What you bring

• Knowledge of and experience with Java
• Preferably experience with Java EE, Wildfly, Hibernate, and OSGi
• Preferably experience with Python, Django, JavaScript, and Vue.js
• Preferably experience with Linux, PostgreSQL, and Git
• Strong analytical skills and eager to pick up new technology quickly
• Team player who takes initiative
• Good command of Dutch and English, spoken and written
• Preferably available 40 hours per week

What you will do

• Fix bugs and explore new technical possibilities
• Technically onboard new business customers
• Build, test, and maintain the automated platform
• Integrate external suppliers, each with their own interfaces and procedures
• Analyse requirements and help design new functionality
• Review the work of colleagues at every delivery
