Backend Java software engineer

About the role

An internationally active IT company in internet services is looking for a software engineer to join its development team. The domain is narrow, but the technology runs deep. You work on a fully automated platform connected to many external parties.

What you bring

• Knowledge of and experience with Java
• Preferably experience with Python, Django, JavaScript, and Vue.js
• Team player who takes initiative
• Preferably experience with Java EE, Wildfly, Hibernate, and OSGi
• Strong analytical skills and the drive to get up to speed quickly
• Preferably experience with Linux, PostgreSQL, and Git
• Good command of Dutch and English, spoken and written

What you will do

• Fix bugs and investigate new technical possibilities
• Analyse requirements and design, build, test, and maintain the platform
• Review each other's work at every delivery
• Safeguard application quality together with colleagues and a QA engineer
• Integrate a range of external providers, each with their own interfaces and procedures
• Contribute to new projects and the technical onboarding of new clients
