About the role
A Dutch organisation in technical services is looking for a data engineer. In this role you keep the data warehouse reliable and available for reporting. You work with a reporting specialist and report to the business controller.
What you will do
- Document design, configuration, procedures, and changes to the data warehouse
- Explore new technology and tools to improve the data platform
- Extract data from source systems and turn it into usable datasets
- Manage, optimise, and monitor the SQL Server infrastructure
- Spot and resolve technical issues in the data environment
- Add and integrate new data sources for Power BI reporting
What you bring
- Familiar with Power BI as a reporting layer
- Solid knowledge of SQL Server, including administration and tuning
- Experience with data warehousing and building datasets
- You connect easily with colleagues about their information needs
- You document carefully and work in a structured way
