Job description
About the role
An international services firm is looking for a data scientist. In this role you work on data questions using machine learning and big data technology.
What you bring
- Familiar with Spark and with visualisation tools
- Knowledge of Hadoop and Hive
- Experience with machine learning and data mining
- Strong in SQL and in Python or R
- Experience with Java, Scala, or C++ is a plus
What you will do
- Explore and analyse data with SQL and scripting languages
- Build and train models using machine learning
- Set up data flows with ETL tools and big data technology
- Work in agile teams on data questions
- Visualise results in dashboards and reports
