Data scientist

About the role

You will join a services organisation that delivers data and IT projects for clients. In this role you use data analysis so clients can make better and smarter decisions. Medior or senior level is negotiable, and missing knowledge is developed on the job.

What you will do

• Work in a Scrum or Agile team and think in DevOps terms
• Explain to clients and colleagues what you do and what it delivers
• Follow developments in your field and share knowledge with colleagues
• Analyse data and turn models into practical solutions for clients
• Translate the end client's question into a workable approach

What you bring

• At least 3 years of experience in big data or advanced analytics
• Strong communication skills and a good command of Dutch
• Familiar with Scrum, Agile, or DevOps ways of working
• Proactive and client-focused attitude
• Completed HBO or WO degree, preferably in econometrics, statistics, mathematics, or engineering
• Experience with big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Cassandra, or MarkLogic
• Experience with analytics tools such as R, Python, or SQL
