Java developer

About the role

An international IT services firm with its own software engineering practice is looking for a Java developer. The work centres on bespoke development for situations where off-the-shelf software falls short. You join a team of around twenty developers and work on assignment at client organisations.

What you bring

• Familiar with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud, NoSQL, and CI/CD using GitLab or Jenkins
• HBO level of thinking and working
• Eager to learn and keen to follow new developments
• At least 3 years of experience as a software developer
• Works with clean code, TDD, and pair programming
• Experience with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and microservices

What you will do

• Share your knowledge and experience with colleagues, for example during knowledge sessions
• Design and build applications within a DevOps team at a client organisation
• Work on modern architectures, maintenance, upgrades, and integration of third-party systems
• Help decide which technology stack suits the assignment
• Contribute to solutions ranging from complex integrations to web and mobile applications
