About the role

A mid-sized Dutch software company builds and runs web applications, social intranets, portals, and apps for healthcare and education organisations. As a junior PHP developer you work in a team of experienced developers on software used by thousands of people each month. You will deepen your knowledge of PHP and back-end architecture.

What you will do

  • Help set up a scalable and secure container-based hosting platform
  • Contribute to the future direction of the applications
  • Build social intranets, websites, portals, and custom applications
  • Suggest improvements to code and solutions on your own initiative
  • Translate functional and non-functional wishes into technical solutions
  • Develop in-house APIs and integrations with external APIs
