Senior backend PHP developer

About the role

A mid-sized, internationally active software organisation provides a cloud platform that helps organisations improve their digital resilience. The development team is small and informal and consists of a frontend developer, a backend developer, and a product owner besides you. Together you carry responsibility for the platform.

What you will do

• Improve software in terms of security, performance, and stability
• Contribute ideas for new platform functionality
• Investigate issues in the existing software and propose improvements
• Work on the further development of the backend in PHP and Symfony
• Help the team improve the development process

What you bring

• Experience in continuously improving existing software
• Experience with message queues, Docker, and the Linux command line is welcome
• Affinity with cybersecurity is a plus
• Familiarity with automated deployments and CI is welcome
• You work well in a team and just as well on your own
• HBO level of working and thinking
• At least five years of experience building REST APIs in PHP and Symfony
