Linux cloud engineer

About the role

An IT services firm with a team of infrastructure specialists is looking for reinforcement. As a consultant you work at clients on technically complex Linux cloud environments. You keep those environments highly available and compliant with the client's security requirements.

What you will do

• Fill the ops role within a client's DevOps team
• Monitor environments proactively with tools such as Checkmk, Prometheus, or Zabbix
• Take a leading role in setting up and managing cloud infrastructures
• Resolve incidents and improve and extend the infrastructure
• Work with containers and microservices using Kubernetes and Terraform
• Automate administration with Ansible and script in Bash or Python

What you bring

• Relevant IT education and demonstrable HBO level of working and thinking
• At least 3 years of experience setting up and managing Linux cloud environments
• Preferably experience with DevOps environments and continuous build, delivery, and deployment
• Broad knowledge of one or more Linux distributions, preferably certified such as LPIC-1 or RHCSA
• Able to work independently and valued for collaboration in a team
• Willing to take part in stand-by duty outside office hours
• Strong analytical and communication skills, both spoken and written
