Test automation engineer

About the role

A Dutch software company is looking for a test automation engineer for its development team. New features are tested extensively, both manually and automatically, so releases can be fast and reliable. You work in a multidisciplinary team that uses Scrum.

What you will do

• Maintain and extend the test framework
• Design and run automated test scenarios
• Work with customers to trace and resolve bugs
• Estimate test effort and help set release dates
• Advise colleagues on functional improvements to the software
• Report test findings back to colleagues
• Test software for functionality, usability, and correctness

What you bring

• Strong communication and analytical skills, and good at planning ahead
• HBO level of working and thinking, through study or experience
• Certification such as TMap Next or ISTQB is a plus
• Experience balancing test automation, maintainability, and lead time
• Experience setting up an automated test system
• Experience with the Scrum method
• At least 3 years of relevant experience and an IT background
