Job description

About the role

A Dutch scale-up in digital health technology is looking for an engineering manager. You clear technical blockers and help engineers grow in their work and careers. You report directly to the CTO.

What you will do

  • Work with product owners to strengthen skills within the product teams
  • Act as hiring manager for every engineer you bring in
  • Safeguard code reviews, documentation, and clear development processes
  • Coach and guide the software engineers in two scrum teams
  • Build career and development paths for engineers with HR and management
  • Improve internal processes, from onboarding to reviews and learning
  • Map out needed skills and profiles together with the lead developer and CTO

What you bring

  • You enjoy documenting processes and writing reports
  • Familiar with the software development lifecycle and scrum in practice
  • Familiar with part of the stack and with hiring software engineers
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English
  • Experience working in a scale-up environment
  • At least 2 years of experience as team lead or manager
  • Team player with leadership skills who motivates and inspires engineers
